How to Renew Your Alaska RN License

Complete any required CE
Alaska does not currently require continuing education for Registered Nurse renewal. Confirm with the Alaska Board of Nursing before submitting your renewal.

Submit your renewal application
Log in to the Alaska Board of Nursing online licensing portal before your license expiration date. Complete the renewal application and attest to CE completion if required.

Pay the $100 renewal fee
Pay the $100 base renewal fee. If renewing after expiration but within the 60-day grace period, the late fee of $200 applies.

Confirm license renewal
Download or print your renewed license. Verify your new expiration date and confirm the license appears as active in the Alaska Board of Nursing's public license lookup.
